I will Be Back; Back In a Condor!

Postby Chris McKeon » Sun Mar 06, 2022 8:42 pm

Hello Everyone: Well I am on a Road, no really I am on a Journey, a Journey back to where I belong. Yes I want to return to that Place where I always felt so good, peaceful and calm, That Place is The Sky! My Next Flight will not be made where I will soar up to 20,000'- Plus. Nor will I be Flying My Predator at all for that Matter. I will be flying at Dockweiler Beach down in Southern California. I can see it now, where I will be hooked into Frank's. or Windsports great Big 330 square foot WW Condor's. I am still quite amazed that there even is an Glider that Big, Wow!

Can You say Low Wing Loading? There are things for Me to be concerned about when I will be Flying this Wind Sports Glider. I wonder just how responsive it will be due to the low-Wing-Loading. Also if and when I fly Wind Sport's Condor. I will have the new {New To Me}, the new concern while flying a Their Condor, will be my getting into some Control trouble. I am worried that I may experience that dreaded concern of "GCIO" during the Launch.

Guys, You simply have no idea how much it will be for Me to Fly for the first time in 12 plus Years.

Heck I do not know How I will feel. But I bet it will be an awesome feeling.

Well when I fly that Great Big Condor. I really don't want to experience any G-C-A-O, No no Sir.

I plan on having an video Camera along with Me. I also will want to have AC/DC playing through a set of Headphones that will fit inside My Helmet. Yes being that this coming May 21st. It will have been 12 Years 2 Months since I last flew. So it will be appropriate that I will have My; "EASY LISTENING MUSIC" playing as I Sky-Out!

PHYSICAL THERAPY:

I find that basically anything that I am able to do that cause My Left hand along with it's Fingers is a good thing for Me to Do. Typing, Playing My Gibson, Heck Yard-Work, pulling weeds. Really just about any activity that cause My left Hand to Grasp, picking things up off the floor. Relly anything. I am considering maybe getting say a Flute, or maybe a Saxophone, or Whoknows?

I recommend for the first flights that you not listen to any music but
listen to an instructor running beside you or talking to you on the
radio.

OK, if I have done it correctly, The Video that shows some Newbie's Flying a Condor at the Beach with a couple of instructors From Wind Sports should be on My E-Mail to all of You. On the one hand; I am amazed that here I am after getting My Hang-One 31 Years ago. Here I am about to undergo getting My Hang One onceagain. You see due to My pound 12 Years ago. I must demonstrate that I can still Fly. On the other hand; I am finding how I feel about the fact that I will once again be Flying as very possibly the most awesome event in My Life! No make that, it will be the Most awesome event in My Life. AS HG PilotsWe all know how We Felt when the first time We walked, Strode, Ran into the wind, and the Harness Straps be came taught, our feet then left the Ground for the first time. I believe that I will feel that way Times Fifty!

Hi Chris,

Today I mailed you 2 paper copies of the Dockweiler waiver. Be sure to fill one out, make a copy, and mail it in.

You can also print out more copies from the Friends of Dockweiler version here:

       https://ushawks.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=2865

They will mail you back a signed copy authorizing you to fly.

I agree. You will experience all the joy of making your first flight again, but without the awkwardness, uncertainty, and mental overload of a new pilot. You will be completely comfortable and fully knowledgeable of the experience ... which will free your brain to enjoy it in a way that new pilots never really can. It will be both excitingly new and comfotably familiar at the same time. That's a nice combination.

LARGE NUMBER, JOHN, CHRIS,ONLY YOU, CORRECT.

Postby Chris McKeon » Wed Mar 16, 2022 2:58 pm

"BLABBING VIA MY KEYBOARD"

You guys know I suffered what I think of as a Brutal injury: I mean after I pounded My Half Dead Body, I mean what I just said; My Body really was Half Dead. And the news got Much worse an attending Doctor said to Pilot-X that I would not survive. I am so thankful that MY attending Doctors were so incompetent. BUt succumb to My injuries as severe as they may have been I did not go along with the Status Quo. No I determined that I would recover. I just told Bob That one Day I was talking to John about how I so wanted to get to being One-Hundred Percent recovered. Well John replied to what I said by saying: "Your One Hundred is a very large number". John was, and I hope will be such a boom to My Flying. I would ask John about an aspect of Flying. John always would have a well thought out reply. "He would say that happens with a Wing because:?" Or He would answer My Question by saying: "I am Not sure what is going on with the Wing under those conditions?". That is the way John is. He will not simply come up with a reply that has no substance, no basic fact to have His response to be based upon. I like that very much.

You Guys must know by now that I am in the process of completing the Grandest, the most daunting accomplishment of My Life. My Physical therapist Chris Kowalske said to Me of about Nine or so Years ago. Chris reply to My Question; "When will people be able to tell that I am One Hundred Percent recovered? Chris replied saying: "Only You will be able to say when Yiou are 100%recovered" i now know that Chris was correct.
