I am about to begin Flying again, and again, and again!

Postby Chris McKeon » Wed Jun 08, 2022 9:19 am

Ok, I thought that I would start a new thread. Guys know I constantly think about Flying. Even though My last Flight flying My Predator darn Near cost Me My Life. In fact if The attending Doctor's initial prognosis regarding my condition was at all Correct. Then what Pilot-X was told at John Muir Hospital shortly after I pounded. I am so grateful that their prognosis was in error. For death would have impacted My Flying in a negative way. I did not Die, I mean look at this way; How Many dead HG Pilots have You seen Flying?

Speaking of Flying. Since I pounded on March 28th. 2010, I have lost a little bit over 100 Pounds. So when I fly again, and I will Fly again. I very well might fly an Wills-Wing Condor 330 this coming weekend. Then the plan is for Me to Fly John's training Glider. Then after John performs an IRAN on My Predator. I will be once again be Flying My truly great 158.

Talk about Snail-Mail! So now if I decide to after I launch, if I decide to turn left left and Fly towards the South I then will have My Waiver with Me if I decide to fly down South and land at Dockweiler Beach after having Flown that great Big, 330 Square Feet Wills-Wing Condor. Then I do not be4liever thsat I will be deemed a Pilot Who does not belong.

i can not wait till I get to Fly.

That's great!!

According to my text records, you mailed it sometime between April 19th and April 27th:

April 19th, 2022:

Bob: Did you mail in the waiver yet?

        Chris: No not yet.

April 27th, 2022

Bob: Did you mail in the waiver?

        Chris: Of course i did.

That means that it takes almost 2 months to get the waivers back. That's very good to know. Thanks.

Good Morning Bob, and all the other Hawks down in Southern :California and elsewhere

So I do have My Waiver FINALLY! I mean how slow can even a Snail Be? Anyways I will Have My Waiver in My Harness so that if I decided to head down south on an ill fatted XC Flight. I will be Flying George's Condor on either Saturday, or on Sunday. That way if I do make a long XC Flight on that Condor. I will have My Waiver to show down at Dockweiler Beach after I land.

I am a little fearful about making My first Flight in 12 Years. My thinking might be a little bit impacted in a negative way.. Yes My Cognitive abilities may have become impaired due to the TBI that I sustained on March 28th 2010. Heck I might not even think to perform a Whack, nor how to perform a good solid Whack.. John said to Me; "Don't worry, You'll know how to whack." John, is a good Guy for Me to Go and Fly with. John always had so much confidence in My abilities as a Pilot. Check this Out; I never saw another Pilot the being offered the opportunity to fly John's 142 Predator. Yet once when John and I were at Fort Funston, note this was when I weighed around 260 Pounds. John offered Me His 142 Predator for Me to Fly.

You Guys know by now that I am in the "Q" regarding My Flying a huge W-W Condor. I will hopefully be Flying it this Saturday or Sunday. Last Weekend it was Blown-out realitive to wind Strength. I have been made aware of the reality considering when One Fly's this huge Glider, That it should not be Flown when he wind on launch is blowing stronger than eleven Miles an Hour. ELEVEN MILES AN HOUR! I am a little bit stunned. Eleven Miles an Hour is too Much, wow!

I just sitting here thinking about when I will Fly again. I realize that none of You can know How I will Feel when I haver My First flight in Twelve Years Two months Fourteen or Fifteen Days. Yes I am counting down the Days. What can I say? I am twisted! For Twelve Years ago I nearly Died Flying. All i can think about is when My Feet leave the Ground again.

PSA:

Hello everyone:

So here it is Saturday Morning. I am just waiting for Pilot-X to get here in about Forty Five Minutes or So. Well after Twelve Years this once busted up, bent and Brokem Predator Pilot. Will once again take to the Air. You Guys absolutly have no idea how I feel. I mean how could You Guys know? But today I will be flying a Big old Circus Tent Sized W-W Condor.

Good By stay Safe, up here in Northern California stay out of the Air. Stay on the Ground.

So today, Saturday June 11th. I along with three of My Friends took George W's Super sized WW 330 Condor to a training site in Benecia, where We simply Played with it Varible winds that were never more than say Ten Miles an Hour. The Guys have no Idea how much it meant to Me to be ablre to do this. Fpor I spent Months laying on My Back Dreaming about once again being able to Play with My Hang-Glider. Or for that matter; Any Hang Glider. Let Me Tell You something if some of You have not had the chance to mess around with a Condor. A Condor is Big, I mean it is really Big. As in 330 square feet of sail area Big. Can You sa Behemoth? But the Glider responded to My imputes as any Glider would. It just took it's own sweet time in doing so.
Well I did no t actually Flew the Condor. We decided that We should Bag it for now and wait till the next time. When we will take the Glider to the Coast and Play with ther Glider in Smooth, non witchy, laminar air.

Any ways. i asme away from todays Flight thinking to Myself, what a behemoth. Goo Judgement killed another day of My actually leaving the Ground.
