Well First off, Bob please do not Ban Me for posting this. You got to listen to Joe. I mean this is our esteemed leader, our President. No one is talking about Joe being a Conspiracy Nut. He actually stands there and says that there will be another Virus. Heck they have a new virus in the works, and they are about to unleash the Virus upon All of Us. Bob You have said that I need to fight for an individual who I have never even met. OK, here is something where I say to You Bob, That You need to rise up and fight for every Person that You know. No Conspiracy here, Joe Biden stood up and said that another Virus was in the works. Hell they are so brazen that they do not hide in the shadows. They do not use double speak to hide their true intent. Joe has Dementia, and because My Mother has Dementia, I truly feel for Joe. But what He is proposing Via His Bully pulpit is just so wrong. I thought that it was Ludacris when the powers that be. In other words; When our employees wanted us to wear Masks that where it said right on the Bo, that the Mask will not protect You against a Virus, this complete lack of logic is beyond any logically thinking.

You know in an sane World. Joe and his cohorts would be called Conspiracists

Hi Mike,

I had earlier asked Chris (by text message) if I could move it. I'm awaiting his response.

The U.S. Hawks moderation usually starts with a polite request. Most folks agree. If not, it goes to our Board of Advisory Directors. On rare emergency occasions I might take action ahead of the Board's approval, but that action is reversed or modified based on the Board's final decision.

We really do try to respect our members here.

Chris just called and approved the move to the Free Speech Zone, and I moved it leaving a "topic link".

I usually leave a "topic link" in the original location so people can still find it. But that topic link won't rise to the top in the original forum when the topic is updated, so it will eventually sink out of sight in the original forum.

Also note that Free Speech Zone topics do not show up when you use the "Hot" button. This helps people to easily see what's "on topic" across all of our many subforums and club forums.

OK, now that we're having the discussion in the right place (Free Speech Zone / Off-Mission Discussions), let me address part of your comment Chris. You wrote:

I never said that you "need" to fight for anyone, but that I felt you should speak up when you find that someone else - whether you know them or not - is being mistreated.

With regard to national politics, I encourage you to speak up there. But your own ability to affect national politics with your speech is very limited because so many (millions) are already speaking with huge platforms like television, radio, and print media. In that environment, your one voice is highly insignificant.

But your voice in the sport of hang gliding is not insignificant at all. For example, on the hanggliding.org forum, there are only a few dozen active participants - often only a handful in any discussion. What you say there is about a million times more influential to those discussions than anything you might say about Joe Biden in our national debate.

So if you want to right a wrong, you will be much more effective doing so within the hang gliding community than on the national stage. That's all I've been saying.
