You know this is pretty disturbing, disturbing to Me. For I put up a reply to this Post a Week ago. Yet, I have not had a single reply to my Queries regarding My interest in short Packing My Predator.

Ok, i am painfully aware that I have not Flown My predator in twelve Years Four months Twenty Seven Days. But my ongoing situation of being as Grounded Predator Pilot is quickly coming to an end. in fact possibly this coming weekend if Piloot-X's back is feeling Better. I will be heading to a training site in Berkley. or possibly the Coast so that I can Fly that great Big Condor.

Anyways: This Predator Pilot's Plan is to first fly that Condor, then Gly John's North Wing T-Two, then i will Fly my Awesome Predator.

So You guys just must know how interested that I am in learning how to short-Pack My Predator. because being able to Short-pack my predator could be a real asset. Being able to sling my Predator Back-pack onto my Back and hike away, this would be cool also.

so in closing, Guys do you Guys have any ideas? Thanks Chris 925-497-1059.

i believe that i have already attempted to Convey that I am interested in the Possibility of Short Packing My Predator , For A number of reasons. ....

The Wills Wing Falcon 3 was designed and manufactured to be short packed. All of its long tubes are sleeved and pinned so they will come apart. You could ask John about retrofitting your Predator with those features.

Chris, "short packed" in the HG industry has occupied a space of packing that is larger than the present topic thread's "5-ft" (or less than 5-ft). Probably when some hang gliders show up that meet this thread's target space, those constructions might or might not adopt the historical "short-pack" descriptor. Getting a Predator to 6-ft or 7-ft or 8-ft or larger short-pack does not fit this topic's target space of 5-ft (or less).

Perhaps you missed something but the current hang gliding industry is killing our sport so they can make money off of their paragliding investments.

OK, Yes I might be out of the intended Specifications that are Proposed for a Predator to end up to Qualify as being Short Packed. When John comes up to Northern California to do a number of things with Me. So when He is giving My Predator an IRAN, I will be talking to John about this Short pack Concept. Maybe it could be done, Maybe not. but when the Day comes when I am back flying my beloved Predator,I will be more inclined to while Flying XC, i will be more gutsy regarding crossing no-Man's land. if i would have the capability to short Pack my Predator , and pack my glider to the nearest road. this capability would be so darn Cool. numerous times I had committed to cross No-Man's land because the cloud streets were lined up necessitating that I steer Glider across Said no-Man's land. So far, I have never done the "Sink and Land" deal quite a ways from a road. Yes I have been quite low at certain times during XC Flights. But getting Low is just part of an XC Flight. Getting low always was a transitory Deal. I so look Forward to Flying My Predator again. When My feet leave the Ground for the first time in Twelve Years. It will be a fantastic experience!

Thanks for the Reedin and the like videos. Pack: 3.5 ft. approx. Wing area of 6.0 SuperWing makes for a "fast" Dockweiler glide; too small. Note they have for wing-sail laminate the triangle pattern of reinforcement that I outlined earlier in this topic thread. My personal aim is for a slower wing of larger area; various technologies may feed some final wing results.

One might guess whether Reedin will glance at the foot-launch hang glider market $$$? The water-based kiteboarding and foiling form an attractive market. Futuristic guesses about busable "5-ft-or-less-pack" foot-launch hang glider market?

Though the aircraft in flight mode is the antithesis of "busable" there may be clues to miniature packing for a HG that would fit "5-ft" (or less) packing for a hang glider.

Some good thoughts there. I had also thought from time to tome about bow string bent ribs. Something might work there.
