Quicksilver Sprint

Here's what I've been up to.

Not yet Still building muscle memory, controlling with feet on the pedals. With that much dihedral, it's pedal dominant control even though it has ailerons, 3-axis control.

A lot of moving parts!

Hope you are doing well.

About 120hr airtime now. Still no camera. Most enjoyable are the early morning, calm air. sunrise launches.

I went to San Antonio, Kitty Hawk Flight field, and spent 1.5hr with a fellow in a 2-place, very similar, Quicksilver. Learning to land.

Lots of drag, momentum goes away very fast when throttle is reduced. Landing speed is ~35mph. Keeping the nose down, stick forward, air moving over the control surfaces.

Round out 1ft. off the ground. Lots of dihedral, rudder dominant. Ailerons leveling the wings.

For a while up until FAA 610 in Oklahoma stuck there nose in and started the silly sticker inspection BS I had 900 flights in trikes. Passed the written test for n, numbered CFI and only need the check ride. Then I realized things were getting too expensive and
gave up motorized trikes. Went back to HG only.

Cool, that Craft looks like it would be fun to Fly! I have had just two Flights flying Three Axis Control. On My second Flight I only had a Problem, a small amount of Pilo during our tow in that Two Seat Grob Sailplane. After I had landed the Gl\ider at the Byron Air-Park. My Instructor Michael Schnyder and I were standing next to The Glider. I said To Michael; "You know, We had a good tow, we released. We had a nice Flight and a good landing. So don't look so Glum. We will go XC on My Third Sailplane flight. Michael said that I was aggressive.
