Boy I sit here typing away simply thinking about this Mental case of My constantly thinking that I: "GOTTA FLY" I have got this condition so bad. But I just need to be Patient. For there is a WW 330 Condor with My Name on it. My day in the Sky Will Come.

Start saving up for a train ticket to Dockweiler.

The Otto Meet is just over 8 months away.

How to:
Engine off at Dockweiler. Run, glide; be in free air and then before landing turn on the engine; power to Torrey airspace; off engine for some slope soaring for a few hours; while in the air turn on engine and power off to some local ultralight legal landing site.

Joe You said something about turning the Engine off at Dockweiler Beach. Engine off?, Engine Off? I have no idea How I would turn Off the Engine that Propels My Predator across the Sky. Yes, the Sun is the Engine, that powers My Predator across the Sky. Heck the way I see it; If the Sun is Up, My Predator should be up.

Also on some distant Day when possibly, when You are in a working to Climb in a Thermal/. When a 158 Thermal Corres through You the Pilot coring through You, very well might Be Me.

NOTE: I just love talking Trash-Talk. But I have found when I have Tried in the past to; Type Trash-Talk that has not gone over so well. So please merly chuckl, or Laugh at My Humor.

:salute: We are limited to 60 ft AGL at Dockweiler. So, have hang glider at Dockweiler that has power unit (fuel or electric) onboard. We are allowed to hang glide at Dockweiler. So, foot-launch the hang glider (that has off its onboard power unit); once in glide off Dockweiler sand and in Federal air space, turn on the onboard power unit (fueled or electric) and ultralight power fly to Torrey (or, if along the way, some thermal lift can be had, fine); when at Torrey go for engine-off ridge soaring. After one's soaring session, turn on power as needed to get to a non-Torrey landing spot (or use thermal lift with engine off to do the same). Avoid dealing with the oppression of the Torrey concessionaire.

A 1978 or 1979 document of City of San Diego emphasized: https://docs.sandiego.gov/council_reso_ ... -12538.pdf
(b) Any person who, on any park, beach or other property owned or maintained by the City of San Diego, conducts or participates in any soaring or gliding activity, including, but not limited to, hang gliding, full-scale glider soaring, and operation of radio-controlled model gliders, without first have obtained a permit from City shall be guilty of misdemeanor.
I added the enlarged emphasis on the word "on" in the clipped quote.

Find some non-City-owned property for launching and landing ....???

The deal is: when flying: one is not on any park, beach, or other property owned or maintained by the City of San Diego, to the best of my guessing.

Notice how much of the Pacific Ocean is adjacent to property owned or maintained by the City of San Diego. Tow up from an ocean barge; glide into the ridge lift. Close off the flight session by landing out in the Pacific Ocean???

Forgive Me for My Talking in Tongues. But I do not want to alert certain Powers as to My previous indiscretions. But I am just trying to get a Lay of the land down there in san Diego. For If were to Fly My predator down there from say Dockweiler Beach, and if. I realize that it would be a bite of a {HAT TRICK}. But if I were to be able to make the Flight down, or is it to the north? Well if I made it to Torrey Pines. Just how mad would the Powers that be, be upset with My having Landed at Torrey Pines? I have landed before the place I landed, when a couple of Guys with Guns drove up to the Field where I had landed. These Guys informed Me that i had landed on their Property. They asked Me Where I had launched from Then i pointed to The Mountain top that i had launched from. Well then they accused Me of lying to them. You know again and again throughout when I have flown Hang Glider I have encounter People upon learning how Far I had Just Flown, have called Me a Liar.

BEING CALLED A LIAR;

I like really do enjoy being called a Liar.

I was chasing Gregg Chastain of Texas as he flew north from our Dry Canyon, Alamogordo,
NM launch ramp. I was driving up hwy. 54 and had stopped my vehicle and got out to locate Gregg with my binoculars. A low rider car stopped and three bare chested men with lots of tattoos got out and ask me
what I was looking at. I handed him the binoculars and said, “That hang glider under that big cloud.”
I told him/them that it was motorless and that it had been launched at Alamogordo some 30 miles away. They found it hard to believe. What they found easier to believe is that I was looking for a UFO since Roswell NM was just over the mountain range. I lacked the talent to correct their belief. Go figure.
