Well if it will not rain, it woill rain by the way. I Could Fly tomorrow. Ant ways for once, after Twelve Years and Five Months of Not Flying. I have a Condor. I have My Harness. I have a radio less a Push to talk, but I do have My radio. I will not need Oxygen. But It will rain Tomorrow, the Weather Experts say that there is a fifty percent chance of rain tomorrow. Oh Darn.

You Guys really have no idea How I feel, Being able to say that the only reason that I might not Fly tomorrow is because of the Fact that it might Rain tomorrow. It is just so cool for Me to be able to Cite Bad Weather as the reason that I might not Fly Tomorrow. You know I am quite concerned that I might not have recovered far enough to Fly. I was talking to John about My being ready to Fly, in just Eleven more Days it will be twelve and a half Years since My last Flight. I so want tp Fly that I am so close to bouncing off the Walls. I am so Air Amorous it just kills Me. By the way Bob; Amorus is not a Four letter word. Amorous is not a Cuss Word. So please do not Ban Me Bob.

But really just to be able to say that the reason that I might not Fly Tomorrow. This is so Awesome!

Ok, first off let Me say that if this Post is in the wrong section, od if i say Anything offensive Bob, simply just remove this.

Anyways; first off I want to say, or to be more exact, I want to type out that Tomorrow for the very first time in twelve Years the reason that I will not most likely Fly is bs not that I am not Physically able. I might not Fly tomorrow is because it might rain.

OK what I will ask does not affect Flying directly. Well what I am attempting to do does affect My Flying directly. Therefore I am not off Subject. it really does affect My Flying. What I want ask about, is how that I should go forward with loosing another twenty pounds or so. See, on my last flight this 6'3" tall Male weigherd 298 Lbs. When I last flew My Predator 158. Well I went on the "POUND DIET" the weight simply melted off my Body, to the tune of My having lost a little over a Hundred Pounds. Well, now I am in a bit of a sticking situation. I need to loose such as small amount of weight. Heck I only want to shed Twenty Pounds. Any ideas as to how I should Do this, short of Your saying: Eat less, and work-out more.

For just as is the case with all of You. When i Fly, I want to stay in the Air. Yes when I am Flying, I am always trying to extend where I will land. I am a firm believer in the idea that a Pilot should extend their Horizon.

Even though the Pound diet does indeed work verwell. There is a price that One must be willing to Pay. Such as almost dying, spending Months, not Weeks. Nut noyt years though in a Coma. Rehabilitation. I have not weighed this light a weight since oh Maybe when I was a Junior in High School..

So short of My pounding Myself into the ground, and almost Dying. Anybody have some Tips for Me? Good By: Chris McKeon 925-497-1059

Hello Chris,

The U.S. Hawks mission is to promote, protect, and serve recreational hang gliding. Our web site helps us do that by providing a place for discussion.

The web site is organized into sub-forums and topics to help people find the discussions that interest them. At this time the U.S. Hawks forum contains almost 31,000 posts organized into over 3,300 topics. That's a 12 year history of the posts of our 340 members. Thanks to you and to everyone who has participated over the years.

Our philosophy is to respect both our readers and our writers. That's not always easy to do. We want writers to be able to write what they want and where they want. But we also want readers to be able to read what they want without too much distraction. The organization of our site into subforums and topics helps both our writers and our readers.

When you start a topic (as you have here) we generally assume that you know what you want to say and what kinds of discussions and diversions you want to allow. So your own posts aren't ever really "off topic" in a topic that you started ... unless you decide that they are.

Now a whole topic may end up being in the wrong section of the forum, and we can sometimes move a topic to a more appropriate location. But even in those cases we try to make it clear what happened to protect the history of what people have written and to help people continue to find that topic in its new location.

I hope that helps you appreciate the care and respect we have for both our readers and our writers at the U.S. Hawks.

As for losing weight, I think each human body has a "comfort zone" of weight range that it strives to maintain. It seems to me that overeating over many years can push that range up, but it's very very hard to push it back down. If you've lost a hundred pounds already, that's really remarkable (pound diet or not). I think you should be very happy right where you are.

I have always been on the Heavy side regarding what weight that I hooked in at. Yet in spite of having had a heavy Hook-In weight. My Predator never failed to impress Me with it'savility to Get up. We all kmow espreciallty when Flyimng XC, that if You are to Sink-Out. Generally Your Day is done. But if You are soaring over a Mountaim range and You Sink-Out. You cab ew-launch so that You have another chance to continue Flying. I have been so impressed with My Predators ability to get-Up. I mean the Predator has an amazing ability to climb. As Pilot, I do know how to work lift. But I am nothing special. I would say that when I turn into a Thermal. I just know that I have a pretty good Chance of getting up. I simply Love this aspect of My Predator. It can really climb.

I am so looking forward to Flying My Glider at a Sub - Two Hundred Pound Body weight. I know that weighing 185 is for sure Possible, 175 is a Maybe. My having dropped a Hundred Pounds Pluss of Body weight will make a difference, it Will won't it?

This Post that I am writing here right now, well it is totally appropriate that I am posing My Question on the Pilot needs help title.

For I do indeed need Help. Just aas john and paul said regarding their Flying I get High with a little help from My Friends. So there are Two Xc Flights that I want do when I get down to San Diego. First off I want to do a flight on a good Day for conditions, by the Way I would like to know what time of Year would be the optimum time of year to do this? Any suggestions? Well anyways I want to have an day when i will would Fly from one mountain site to another. I will launch Get Up Fly to another In-Land San Diego site Top-Land. Re-Launch, fly to another Inland Site, Land, Re-Launch Fly to another Site, Land and So on until I have landed at every site in one Day. I plan on finish My flying where I will land at Torrey Pines. Ok I have a Question regarding Torrey; Upon learning after having My landed at Torrey. Would say the purveyor of Torrey do the right thing by saying to Me; "Good on You Mate that was some great Flying" Or would the Guy be a Jerk citing how I was in Violation of some Self imposed Flight ordinance?

I think the overweight, over reaching, scofflaw, assaulting, smoker, that thinks he as good as owns the Torrey Pines
public land park will call into his blue line family members of oath breakers to again have anyone arrested and banned even though it would be a violation of the lease language.
