I just saw a bumper sticker that said something like this:

Everyone, you meet is in a battle you know nothing about. Be kind always.

The first sentence is certainly true, and it's very wise to remember that.

But whether that fact should elicit kindness or hatred depends on what side of the battle they are on.

I vote for Jordan Peterson and Russell Brand to take over the world, and use, "Starlink" to do it. ;) :)
one world "cloudy"
the other world crystal clear if you listen and watch, but we do have to keep "one foot in chaos and the other in order".

=============================================================================================================================================================

"Recreational" flying is a small topic, and all the associations and forums become "cloudy",
but the truest and hottest topic is,
"how do we treat each other" ? and "Do not speak to people who are not listening to you". JBP

It's all about honest, on line "eyeball to eyeball" body language vs, cloudy "anonymous", on line body language.
on line has no body language to read,
Seems like an easy choice but we gotta' pay attention,
since we're Androids any way with our skreens .

I try to watch every Jordan Peterson video that anyone posts (thanks to Bill for introducing me to his work). They always provide food for thought and these are no different. Thanks Craig.

In the first video Jordan makes a comment that I found particularly relevant to the U.S. Hawks:

Jordan Peterson wrote:It isn't obvious to me that the people who run the social media networks know exactly how to regulate them with any degree of utility.
...
There are some things going on online that ... actually pose a threat to the integrity of the culture itself.

The biggest problem that I can see is that the large online platforms allow anonymous troll demons to rampage through society with no cost to themselves.

I agree 100%. That's exactly why the U.S. Hawks forum has a policy that you can only use a fake name if you do not attack anyone. If you begin attacking people, then you must give your real name and verify it in some reasonable manner.

In that first video, Jordan goes on to mention the name "Elliot Page". I'd never heard of Elliot Page, so I did some research to find that he had formerly been known as Ellen Page and has been undergoing the transgender transformation to become Elliot Page. Apparently, (s)he has been (or is) a Canadian actress/actor. Here are two links that I found:

I don't have any comments on Elliot Page at this time, but I wanted to post what I'd found for anyone else who might not have recognized the name.

In the second video Jordan Peterson makes an important statement in the context of competence:

Jordan Peterson wrote:Every value system produces a heirarchy. So if you dispense with the heirarchy you dispense with the value systems.

I have generally not liked institutional heirarchies, so this comment was thought provoking. I think Jordan is commenting on the fact that one's position in the "heirarchy" results from their contributions according to that particular value system. So in the value system of a street gang, one's position in the hierarchy is likely to be elevated by violence. But in other value systems, such violence would do the opposite.

In the third video, Jordan Peterson mentions the term "Psychological Contagions". I don't think he originated that term, but it is a very concise description of a disease process that has been greatly aggravated by much of our modern social media and media in general.

Thanks for the videos Craig!

In 1989, PG's marched into H4 launch sites carrying their colorful "banner" of diverse and equal free flight.
Once they were accepted by the HG community, a massive media division of podcasters and videographers launched USHPA and flooded the online market place with their agenda which was;

"
To sell as many Chinese Parachute Wings to as many sheep as possible".

HG was unable to counter right away with it's own podcasters and videographers asking the hard questions of safety and commercialization of PG under the banner of, "easy and cheep free flying".

Forums and Associations can only go so far.

Until USHAWKS and the many HG clubs put together serious podcasters, writers and videographers, and Hang Glider Pilots who are willing to "risk", the PG ushpa's will continue to have the upper hand. What would the risk be if Hang Gliders flew unannounced into TPGP and Telluride Gold Hill with their camera crews, and filmed and documented the ensuing "drama" that would most likely take place.

If the videos went viral it could be something that all Hang Glider Pilots could latch on to. The questions need to be asked.
The people most hurt by PG, and now paramotoring "accidents", are us who have to pay, along with the mom's who have to bury their children right and left, and wonder,
"this probably would not have happened if a Hang Glider wing had been used instead of a parachute "so called" wing.

It's almost like PG has their AI, it's time for HG to develop their own AI to balance the scales.
