Mr. Crye says there will be a "fun fly" for Memorial Day at Dry Canyon. He will make an announcement soon.

You all take note that the road has been repaired. Put your hang glider racks on your 4X4's and get here! ... uh, bring hang gliders too.

Is anyone planning to come to Dry Canyon for Memorial Day? Will there be a Fly In?

I FINALLY own a vehicle capable of making it to launch!!!

I am not planning on Memorial Day unless a ton of HG pilots come out of the wood work.

I am looking at the possibility of flying Dry Canyon with miles in mind from May 30-June 3rd. I would be looking for a driver.

I wish I could come out of the woodwork to be there. Your club has always been very welcoming of visiting pilots, and I'm sure it would be a good time. Sadly, I'm still mired in legal troubles, so I can't make it.    :(

On the bright side, according to my calculations, a ton of pilots is only about 10.    :)

A ton would be 3 or more in 2024.... :?

I won't make it this weekend. BUT next week, I will likely be in the area, looking to fly and looking for a driver....

Sadly, however, your observation reflects the long slow decline of hang gliding under U$hPA. :(

I hope some HG pilots appear. Fun with PG's too. Here is the promo for the Fly In I got from Mr. Crye.

@Nate I'll be busy with catch up work after the Fly In but maybe I can drive.

Texas pretty much just has HG pilots in Houston and they don't really travel. :?

I would hope some of the ABQ crowd comes out. I finally have a truck that can make it to launch. I cannot wait to fly Dry again but it won't be in October.

I miss Robin too. The big fly in's were probably due to him organizing and inviting everyone.

I guess it will be a small crowd of paragliders if anyone shows up.

Houston. Hang gliding in the flattest place on Earth? Lots of towing?

Glad you have a capable truck. I recently got a new old truck. 2WD so I can't get up the road. Even if 4W I'm too poor to get macho tires or risk damage. Otherwise I'd be the only non-pilot with an HG rack and everyone could count on a ride.
