The US election 11/05/2024 has left Northwing Hang Gliders as a "Big Winner" as their federal tax rate will be cut in half to 15% and all of their competitors will have a tariff of $1,000 per paraglider, $1,000 per Mexican Willswing, Up to $4,000 for a Euro Atos. Ushawks wants to negotiate for Moyes with AUKUS treaty to keep tariff s low but Willswing could move production to England.

Thanks for your wonderful video entertainment to help destress after election.

That's an interesting observation Doug. It makes me wonder if we might still have WillsWing here in California if Trump had won the 2020 election. We will never know.

I appreciate your thoughts because it's possible that the U.S. Hawks Board might endorse treaties to keep glider costs low. However, I don't think either of us (you or I) are authorized to speak for the U.S. Hawks Board. If anyone wants to know any of the actual U.S. Hawks Board decisions, they are available here:

Testing the ChatGPT-4o on its image interpretation over Florian's TPHG 4.6 tote bag image: I fed the AI the photograph and asked generically:
"Discuss in depth what you see and what you think about it."
Here is the AI reply:

ChatGPT said:

This is a carrying bag for a hang glider, designed to be compact, portable, and durable. The bag prominently displays the website "HANGGLIFTER.COM" and includes bold messaging, such as "FLY WITH ME!" and "HANDLE WITH CARE - HANG GLIDER INSIDE," likely meant to attract attention and clearly communicate its contents for safe handling. It also specifies the weight (60 lbs / 27 kg) and the length (4.6 ft / 140 cm), which are important details for transportation and storage, particularly when dealing with heavy or specialized equipment like hang gliders.

The bag’s overall design appears sleek and well-thought-out, with straps positioned for ease of carrying. The straps are likely made to be sturdy enough to support the bag's weight while remaining comfortable for the user. The black straps against the white background add a visual contrast, making them easily visible and accessible for handling. There are two straps on top, which may allow for either a hand-carry or shoulder-carry option.

The color scheme—white with blue accents—is visually striking and might also provide practical benefits, such as making the bag visible in various environments. The blue seems concentrated at the ends, potentially as reinforcement in areas that might experience more wear during handling or transport.

In terms of functionality, the bag's design reflects a high level of portability, which aligns well with the tiny packed hang glider (TPHG) concept, where compactness and ease of transport are key. With its 4.6-foot length, the bag seems optimized for packing telescopic spar segments and other modular hang glider components, making it suitable for urban transportation, like on buses or trains.

In general, this bag is an excellent solution for users who need a lightweight and compact way to transport their hang glider. Its design prioritizes both protection and ease of transport, and it even serves as an advertisement or conversation starter, potentially promoting hang gliding in public spaces.

That's a great great hat, and the 4.6 fits right in. Brialliant!!

The only hitch might be that Biden may step down to make Kamala the first woman president. That would make Trump 45 and 48. But maybe your glider might expand in the heat to make it 4.6-4.7 to fill in the gap? ;)

Dividing the packs into two sets is necessary if you do not want to pay $700 per travel with the airplane

To come I've split the TPHG 4.6 and protected it with my clothes, then the HG's bag has some room left, I've just empty 24 water bottles to fit

The last 24 hours I'm answering email non stop, I'm KO but still very excited to come
