HG with 2-ft Pack Length
All are welcome to discuss with me the designing, building, testing
of a hang glider that will use one or two or three packs, none of which has a length over 2 feet.
The game's constraints is that the pilot will be comfortable toting the pack(s) from home and then on long walks, on bus, on train, all without having to pay any excess luggage fees while be polite and safe for people along the way or in the bus or on the train. Smaller subpacks can be part of the finished system. The hang glider need face only conservative winds and flying employment; the hang glider need be only safe for conservative use at Dockweiler in mild dependable winds. stronger performance may result from the experimental results, but a first level of low performance would be fine. Mechanical types may be plenty. You need not remark on just my offers; feel free to advance any idea that aims to result in a HG that packs at 2-feet length or even less, if you want! I am going to press forward on a design that will pack at 2-ft in maximum length. Feel free to help on this adventure. :!:

Starting:
Main type comment:
- main spar: splinted airbeam featuring segmented compression member with segment each 2-ft long; they will be lightening-holed aluminum segments telescopically nestable for tote; they will aligh using added male and female caps for compression alignment. TPU bladders (2) in ventral webbed case; upper case small compartment holds compression member segments. Multiple zippers help capture compression member. Silicon treatment will be in compression member compartment surface.
- kingpost, and two queenposts: each of three segments 2 ft long. Some overlap will result in part being less than 6 ft long.
- keel in four segments of 2-ft length
- sail in zippered segments
- line rigging to help stabilize global geometry: both upper and lower line rigging
- ribs in two parts and some in three parts
- pitch-control limit lines rigged to kingpost
- base control member is tensional continuation of flight crosslines that rig the global shape.
- tote session will be of several sorts: carry, wagon, wearable. Wagon: use strap on four wheels; wheels at flight combine to make left and right wheels on base member.

From a two-footed hang glider pilot to another two-footed hang glider:

Merry Christmas to All

.... I'll take those two socks for two packs of two-feet of two-foot-hang-glider parts. Thanks, Florian!

Bioluminescent Hang Glider

Bringing Glow and Innovation to the Skies

Imagine This:

Picture a hang glider that softly glows in the dark, its wings shimmering with bioluminescent patterns as it soars through twilight skies. The fusion of nature-inspired lighting and modern materials makes this both a stunning visual and practical innovation.

Key Features:
 • Aesthetic Appeal: A glowing glider turns every flight into a light show, rippling with organic, soothing colors.
 • Safety: Be seen in the skies with natural illumination, avoiding the need for heavy, power-draining LED systems.
 • Customization: Programmable bioluminescence allows for unique patterns or messages displayed mid-flight.

How It Works:

The wings could incorporate lightweight fibers infused with bioluminescent compounds derived from algae or advanced engineered materials. These materials are light, efficient, and maintain the integrity of your hang glider’s aerodynamic design.

Why Not Add Magic to Your Flight?

This concept not only enhances the beauty of your hang glider but also contributes to safety and personalization. It's perfect for early dawn or twilight flights, making your presence unmistakable while creating unforgettable visuals.

Inspired by the endless possibilities of flight. Share your thoughts and ideas below!

Technology with curiosity can't be beat.
I can see it now, your helmet connected to your wing tips, to your tail feathers and your bioluminescent wing and pod would make you the talk of the town, and you could actually talk to your glider and tell it how to trim and fly, and even making the battens "energetic" to reshape the trailing edge at your command, along with being able to "wow" the crowd with a, "Pink Floyd" type of light show. How inventive, adding connecting fibers in the fabric, but that's you Joe to a T.
