Dockweiler Paperwork Blues

Postby Ground Slammer » Wed Dec 10, 2025 7:20 pm

So I fill out the paperwork, mail it in with a self addressed stamped envelope. Then I follow up with a call to the number on the paperwork. I get the keyhosk at the park, they direct me to permits. I call permits, they called me back said they were not the right people for a Dockweiler hang gliding waver, they try to send me to the Keyhosk number again. So I tell them that that was who I just talked to. The person on the phone said it was outside his department but would give a try to find out what happened to my waver. He said he would call Monday, never called so I tried him but all I get is a message and no call back.
So that's were I am at, anyone got any contacts down there?

I can try to call myself. How long ago did you mail it in?

Hey gang I finally made some progress on the paperwork. It's at the directors office for signing. Then they want to email it back to me so I get it quicker. I still need to pull the leading edges for inspection and reassemble. I also have to finish the glider roof rack but I am well underway on that part.

Just to be clear, does that mean that you have the signed waiver from Beaches and Harbors?

By the way, Joe Faust and I flew at Dockweiler just yesterday, but the wind was very light. So while we had fun with outreach, we didn't have much good flying. Please check the weather forecast before making plans!!
