It turned out to be a much better day for hang gliding than predicted ...

I ended up flying for about an hour and 5 minutes. Kenny also flew and it was good to share the air with him again. Welcome back Kenny!!!

We had a few other Hawks visiting for our 2nd Sunday and signed up a new member as well.

You lucky Hawk (Dog) We had 21.5 F for a low last night here in Las Cruces, New Mexico as well as the night before.

There was ice on the bird bath and I had to break it up and pour a pot of hot water on it. :angel:

The temperature history shows that it was in the mid 50's during most of my flight. I didn't wear gloves, and it was the cold - more than anything else - that caused me to land after a little over an hour.      :shock:

I'll try to get Sky Dog Doug and Shelley and possibly dohara down to New Mexico and then maybe we can swing a trip to Torrey. :thumbup:

The spring flying season (February and March) is usually the best time to come out. Even better, those are some COOOOLD months in most of the country!!
