Hi Bill,

I suspect the news would have you believe that the entire County of San Diego is on fire.    :roll:

There are a few isolated pockets, and I've included a few pictures I took near Torrey yesterday.

This first picture shows the smoke on the water (isn't there a song by that name?) to the north and west of Torrey Pines. You can see part of the Torrey LZ which includes the RC landing strip to the far left of the picture:

As you can see by these photos, the wind is moving east to west (what we call a "Santa Ana" wind). This brings the hot dry desert wind which fans the fires.

Stay safe Bob, and all you San Diego-uns.

Hopefully the Santa Ana winds will calm.

I remember that happening when I lived in Lakeside. They were setting back fires two blocks from the apt.
