I don't want to go into too much detail, but I got a call tonight from Brody's mother that he suffered a paraglider accident in the vicinity of Newport Oregon today.

He was airlifted to a nearby hospital in Eugene Oregon for surgery. Brody's mother said he had damage to his spine and had no feeling in one leg. But this report is still very early (only a few hours) after the incident, and it's not yet clear what kind of recovery he will eventually have. He's young and strong, and hopefully he has the capacity for a full recovery.

On behalf of the members of the US Hawks, I wish Brody a speedy and full recovery. If you know the family, please consider reaching out in any way that you feel is appropriate. They are currently in Eugene Oregon (far from home) so if you're in that area and would like to offer any help, please contact me, and I will try to put you in touch with them.

Thanks,
Bob Kuczewski

What's the update on Brody? I see this is a post from last year but was wondering how things turned out.

It's amazing you should ask because I just got off the phone with his Mom less than two hours ago and she said he's doing very well. In fact, he's been working on a bus-to-motor-home conversion for himself and the family, and he's planning to have it done for an upcoming family trip around Thanksgiving.

You just can't keep them Worsencroft's down!!!!

Stay tuned ... more to come.
