Intent on this wing may have been power undulating of the sail to get propulsion. Look to patent for more info.

Bill's Pelican

Postby JoeF » Mon Jan 05, 2015 12:20 pm

Pelican or 1980.

Spelling of designer? Payne, Paine, Pain It seems like "Payne" wins. However, the other two spellings show in the literature.

For a 2010 response from Bill to Everard, see
https://everardcunion.wordpress.com/and ... fore-1991/

Mentioned (but I have not found the mention yet) in WINGS

Spreader or No-Spreader bowsprit HG

Postby JoeF » Mon Jun 15, 2015 7:04 am

One large distinction: Does a particular bowsprit-using HG have a span "spreader" beam system or not. Such consideration forms two branches of "Bowsprit HGs". Reviewing the collection, so far, we seen that each branch on such distinction has some members.
