USPGA United States ParaGliding Association
We note that United State Parachute Association goes to acronym USPA.
We note that there is a United States Powered Paragliding Association with acronym of USPPA. Would they want to adopt the soaring parachutes PGs that are powered by gravity and updrafts?
My guess is that the following won't occur, but could: United States Soaring Parachute Association with USSPA.
On this date the strict string of "United States Gliding Association" gets one hit where someone meant the USHPA.
I founded United States Hang Glider Association and later gave rights of that name to the later born United States Hang Gliding Association which the new group did not use the "Glider" word; it later changed name to add "Paragliding" for United States Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association USHPA in its name (dropped the G when acronym forming); will it evolve to drop the "H" in its name as US Hawks Hang Gliding Association USHHGA takes the airframe hang gliding flow? [Maybe the Hawks could join the two H thing to one H for USHGA; note that bird "hawks" have bones to form their airfoil support. However, as yet, there seems to be some ambivalence about the bone thing; RM supports dropping non-bone canopy soaring parachutes in any potentially successful "hang glider" (airframed, boned; full setting aside canopy gliding kites or soaring parachutes)]. Notice that USHPA drops the G by some tactic, maybe using "Hanggliding" as the word, but their site has two words "Hang Gliding" in headline; so maybe they will continue dropping things to drop the "H" to finalize focus on Paragliding. How will it all work itself out?
There is the Soaring Society of America that has focused on soaring with gliders and sailplanes; they liked being aside of the foot launching hang gliders; and my guess is they do not want to open a sector to soaring parachutes.
The United States Ultralight Association USUA is not to be forgotten. Apparently they did not find a marriage with the United States Powered Paragliding Association.
The mid 1900s hang gliding flowering had a first international organization in Self-Soar Association that fulfilled its purpose and then went to sleep.
This blog is for tracing the evolution into USPGA, a yet to occur (2014 Dec. comment) formal association. Will the members of USHPA vote soon to drop the "H" and get to USPGA or USPA (which might not be so far off, especially if the United States Parachute Association simply adopts soaring parachutes that mostly leap from aircraft earth's solid structures, but not always. Let parachutes and soaring parachutes unite.
Will there ever be a United States Rigid Airframed Hang Glider Association? USRAHGA. Or USAHGA?

As of this date there are several causes for finding the exact string "United States ParaGliding Association" (except maybe the placing of the capital "G" in the third word). Tracing those causes may be part of this blog.
Here is a start on that sector of this blog:
1. Several hits by search engines finds "United States Paragliding Association USPA (future name of extant org)" where the Faust was making suggestions.
2. Other hits just neglected the "Hangglider" aspect and assumed that USHPA was actually "United States Paragliding Association." Such is making sense as excused assumption.
