Lights, Camera, Phone?

Postby Chris McKeon » Thu Jan 13, 2022 3:23 pm

Does anyone know Cell Phones on Here? I believe that what I have is called an intelligent Phone, a "Smart Phone". Question: Could I use My Phone- Metro yo take with Me and to Fly while recording the Images of My Flight?

Thanks Chris McKeon CCMCK@GOLDSTATE.NET 925-497-1059.

I've used my cell phone to take videos in flight. Wal-Mart sells a very inexpensive tripod that comes with a good cell phone holder.

It looked good at my hang check:

But it had gotten pointed a bit too high by the time I was at launch (note John Heiney at my right wing).

So the entire flight looked like this:

A "GoPro" or similar fish-eye lens would have been fine. :(

But I did enjoy the flight!!! :D

Boy! This is so embarrassing. For I have what I think is an Intelligent-Smart Phone. If I push the button that initiates the screen. Well I see; Metro by T-Mobile. Well I need to get up to speed on How to use my Phone to take images.

Maybe when I get Myself down South in May. Maybe I will be able to get some assistance in operating My Intelligent Phone.

Your Home Screen should have a camera icon that you tap to switch to camera mode.
Oops my time stamp on the HAWKS is still on daylight savings time. I’ll have to change
that. It’s 9:43 here in NM.

Went to:
1) User control board.
2) Board preferences.
3) My time zone.
4) Summertime DST is in effect and selected
NO.
TEST: time here is 9:55
EDIT: On my end it even went back to the first
post and corrected the hour from ten to nine.
That’s surprising.

The display of time on the forum has always been a bit of a mystery to me.

I made this current post at 3:23pm according to my local time. But when I look at it (from my browser) it shows up as 4:23pm.

I checked my time settings (User Control Panel / Board preferences / Edit Global Settings) and I find that "My timezone" is set correctly to "[UTC - 8] Pacific Standard Time" with Summer Time / DST in effect. So I'm not sure why the time is wrong. It's on the list of things to fix when I get through my current law suit.
