My wife plays music with her phone and also has a
digital player that she loads from her phone.
I don’t listen to music unless it’s from the car
CD player, TV, or YouTube. So I’m not going to
be much help. Cassette players are usually
bigger and heavier than recent players so not
the best choice for HG. A PAWN shop may have
what you are looking for in cassettes.

Hi Chris,

Here's an MP3/MP4 player currently advertised for $17.99:

This multifunctional MP3/MP4 player with 3.5mm audio jack can also be used as an E-Book Reader, Music Player, Photo Viewer or Video Movie Player. Real Color LCD Screen. Small enough to fit in your pocket or handbag.

You can find this one at Microcenter:

But I'd bet they are available at other stores as well. These are very light weight and have no moving parts.

Read this, they really work and there is nothing in your ear canal.

I became SSD (single sided deaf) after my accident, and had to find ways to adapt to a totally different "hearing", or not, world.

I wear two, one paired up to my Galaxy 7 phone, and the other paired to my Kindle Fire 7.
I can program my music for the day, send and receive phone calls, be washing dishes and still hear my wife in the other room yelling, "take the trash out". I can work on my truck while listening to helpful youtube videos, or Chris, listen to different guitar music, while tuning and playing your guitar. Being hands free is where it's at.
An interesting idea would be to have two buttons on the control bar to be able to sequence music listening and phone calls at the touch of a button, without taking your hands off.
I see a fleet of fliers being paired to each other, and talk to their favorite radio station on the ground.
A TAF pilot, "captain Jack" (RIP), flew over Telluride one day and broadcast through the town radio station, it was great hearing his voice as he flew overhead and talked to us.
I post this below, remembering my old friend.

https://telluridemagazine.com/jack-carey/

Jack got caught in some 2,000 fpm up air one day over town, and had to crank steep turns to
stay inside of this crazy "elevator" ride to 21,000 feet,
It finally let him out, and when he got back down to us he said, shiveringly, "I almost passed out, and I froze to death". phew.

Craig I merely thinking about getting My self an CD player that has a cord attached to it via a chord. Then I would just be able to put an Album in the unit, say AC/DC's Power Rage. Then I would launch My Predator. That way I would be able to fly the Hottest Hang Glider in the World, a Predator158, while listening to the Hottest Rock Band in he world AC/DC, while I flew my Predator.

I remember Saff flying Wilcox in an SST, with an am transistor radio on one downtube, listening to the baseball game. Of course, a counterbalance beer in a gymbal on the other downtube was needed!

You know this playing with Music Deal I have been thinking about. Well I just believe that I need a Device that will Play a CD while I do something, it matters not what I will be doing. But I think that it would be too cool to be able to hear ACDC playing through a set of Headphones while I flew My Predator.
SPEAKING OF FLYING:

I think that when I will be Flying the best Hang Glider in the world that has a King-Post. A Predator has top rigging. It would be appropriate for Me to Be listening to the Hottest Rock Band in the World. That group is of course AC/DC.

MY FLYING THOUGHTS;

As of right now. I have not flown in eleven and a half Years. I just wonder when say I am on glide during an XC Flight. When I am Miles from a road. I just wonder if I will still be able to "DO IT". Will I still be able to climb as well as I did before March 28th. 2010. I remember being Miles from the nearest road. I would be so low that I could see individual Birds that would be perched upon limbs on a Tree. Yet somehow I would: {RISE TO THE OCCASION }. Yes I would simply refuse to sink out. I also just loved to be up in the Air. So sometimes, in fact most times I would Scratch, Scratch My way round and round. then I would find myself a couple of thousand feet up. Then it would be time to go back on Glide.

John Told Me recently; "Now that You have Lost One-Hundred pounds, I think that You will be amazed by how good your rate of Climb is". The last time this 6'3" and 1/2" tall Man Flew XC I weighed 198 pounds. But the bad, the negative news is that I believe that I will have one heck of time in losing another hundred pounds.

LOOSING WEIGHT:
i HAVE A GREAT WAY TO LOSE A LOT OF WEIGHT. BUT MY WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM: "the pound diet" IS not for the faint of Heart. Step one: Pound yourself into the Ground: step two spend three months in a Coma. Step three: spend over a decade rebuilding your Body and your Mind.
