Renaissance affecting flows: Name the flows.

All are invited to briefly name a significant flow of activity that affected the mid-1900s renaissance in hang gliding.

The identification and naming of a flow might be sharpened by you or someone else in time. But this topic thread is dedicated to identifying and naming. Separate threads could be started on individual flows. And many flows will have important interfaces with other flows; such interfaces could be studied and discussed in separate threads.

Starting without prejudice to significance, impact, importance, understanding, popularity, weight, etc. (such valuing would be proper in pointed studies and discussions on each flow):
The body of people living that had experienced hang gliding in some aspect during the years prior to 1940, but who were living in 1960. The people could have been spectators, mechanics, designers, pilots, family members of pilots.
Aviators and pilots and their families and friends who were aware of gliding or hang gliding in the year 1960 circa.
Body of people involved with gliding limp parachutes prior to end of 1960 in the military complex.
Model airplane people.
Sailplane and gliding communities around the world living in 1960. And their backgrounds, interests, skills, knowledge.
Pilots and children of pilots from the various war efforts.
Technicians of companies who had worked on drogue and gliding devices.
Aviation publishing showing a continuum of foci.
All those who heard talks given by Francis M. Rogallo and were still living in 1960.
Technicians, engineers, designers, aerodynamicists, etc. in 1960 who were skilled in the arts of aircraft
Pilots of low-L/D inhabited kite-gliders of non-rotary-wing formation who were active in or prior to 1960.
Pilots of rotary-wing kite-gliders who were active in or prior to 1960.
Aviation students and teachers who had studied the history of aviation up to 1960 and were still living.
Authors who had studied aviation history up to 1960.
People who distinctly dreamed of flying like a bird and who were living in 1960.
Human-powered aviation community living in 1960.
Experiment Aircraft Association membership of 1958 to end of 1960.
The David Barish flow (friends, associates, coworkers, family, etc. )
The writers, readers, examiners, lawyers, family members, etc. revolving around each kite patent in any nation through 1960.
Kite pilots around the world who were active kite-system-resistive-set members and living in 1960.
The Domina C. Jalbert flow
The Michael A. Markowski flow
The Richard Miller flow
The Barry Hill Palmer flow
The Mike Burns flow
The John Dickenson flow
The Bill Bennett flow
The Bill Moyes flow
The Kilbo-Kite flow
The Joe Faust flow
The Bob Lovejoy flow
The David Cronk flow
The Mike Harker flow
The Volmer Jensen flow
The Waldo Waterman flow
The Mike Riggs flow
The Bob Wills flow
The Dick Eipper flow
